Title X Services
What is Title X?
Title X was created in 1970. Since then, it provides affordable reproductive health care and birth control to people with low income, or with no health insurance, who may struggle to afford these services on their own. Therefore, Title X Federal funding ensures that every person regardless of income, background, or health insurance has affordable access to reproductive health care and family planning. This funding aligns with Eastern Iowa Health Center’s goal to provide affordable, accessible health care to all. With the funding, EIHC can also provide quality services regardless of a patient’s documentation status, insurance, or ability to pay.
What Services Does Title X Provide?
Family planning services at Eastern Iowa Health Center provided by Title X include:
- Birth control
- Reproductive education
- Testing for pregnancy and pregnancy counseling
- Ultrasounds
- In-office procedures
- STI testing, education, and treatment
- Social Work
- Behavioral health
- Achieving pregnancy
- On-site lab
