This used to be a great place. I swear it's run like a man owns and run it now.

The automated answering sucks. Almost 20 minutes to get a live person because I keep hanging up and calling back since the AI clearly can't understand. The person who is on call during lunch and after hours needs something else to do because answering the phone and being polite is your job.

Appointments are canceled frequently the day before or day of and the patient is blamed for it. Why would I cancel an appointment I waited MONTHS for?

Sometimes you can hear staff conversations and they are talking about each other, patients, or both. I can see why the turnover rate is high, as it's different people every time I come in. Maybe get some male nurses in there to balance out the drama.

Some of staff is super nice so I can say that's a positive. Also, advocate and speak up for yourself. DON'T let them over talk you and minimize your concerns just so they can get you in and out. No one told them to overbook/overlap appointments.

I have bad experience with the Customer Service that I talked to. I received an email and
it says I have an approval appointment so I called and asking to r-schedule me Monday morning, she told me that Dra. Mullen
was full schedule so she cant help
me. I drop the call immediately, paused and called again same CSR picked my call and asking to cancel my appointment, and surprisingly she
already cancelled my appointment without telling me, thats unacceptable, since she
is working in hospitality in health care, so she devil working on this facility, not a good person.

The walk-in clinic refused to see me, even after being referred to them from a different clinic. I had to walk several blocks on a bad foot to be seen at the University of Iowa urgent care clinic. Thankfully, the U of I urgent care clinic were a lot more helpful, but the EIHC walk-in clinic treated me very poorly and were very rude. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise that I went to a different clinic anyway, but I would avoid EIHC and save yourself some time.

EDIT: After EIHC responded to this review, claiming that they will contact me for resolution, I am very curious how they will "contact" me considering they don't have any of my contact information (since they refused to see me). This place is a joke, and this is just another example of their incompetence.

This place is a complete joke and waste of time. They are just pushing people through like cattle. The girls up front have always been nice but none of the doctors care about what they are doing.
I have had to advocate every step of any contact with them for test results, promised referrals, prescription refills. Don't get me started on Dr. Ede. He is on another planet, doesn't care what you have to say because he is going to dismiss you anyway. I will not be returning to this dump.

Mary Boska is fabulous. I was referred here by a friend, who is a patient of hers. I couldn't be more pleased by the care I receive. She is very through and I feel she truly cares about my well being. She is definitely an asset to this clinic.

Eastern Iowa women’s health is horrible. Appointments are canceled by them but then in notes on my chart they blame the patient for not keeping up a/ appointments. You make it to your appointment early only to be waiting 30+ mins to be seen. They claim they call with updates on your visit yet I don’t see any calls nor have vm. I was told I had gdm basically a month after the glucose test and the dr acted like they had called n told me when I’d been scheduled multiple appointments prior and could have easily been told this face to face. I haven’t seen the same dr twice and when I go for appointments no one knows whats what,
they’re asking me!!!!! After all this I wanna be referred elsewhere they are absolutely horrible in that place.

I would say this place lacks people, respect, dignity and care for others. I had an appointment today with Dr. Mary Boska and she is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered in my life. Her nurse also lacks character, ability to speak (when she is verbal), she lacks empathy to self and others. If you have real life problems going on this is not tha place to take your loved ones or even yourself. Now I remember why I left this location on the southeast side the first time. All these years later you guys still suck 🤮.

I've been going to this doctor's office for over 2 years for mental health and I volunteered for the Vivitrol program once I started requesting paperwork they wanted to violate HIPAA trying to withhold my medical records on top of them trying to misdiagnose me ... when I went to take my 4-month sobriety shot they had a nurse come in acting totally unprofessional and rude made me empty my pockets acting like I'm faking urine test as soon as I said I would take a blood test her reaction was totally off she ran out of the room and when she opened the door they had a behavioral health nurse waiting outside the door they were trying to get a reaction out of me so they can try to put a label on me I ended up canceling appointments due to safety concerns and they rescheduled them without my consent when I called to see who made the appointment they wouldn't tell me after talking to my family doctor about safety concerns I was met with silence so I put in a complaint and they still had Tia Goodrich contact me that's totally unprofessional and at this point it's harassment as soon as I cancel my Tia appointments nothing else mattered to them they were using a doctor's office trying to get information out of me the only reason they wanted me to do the Vivitrol shot is to be nosy and get urine analysis have you or a loved one are going here for mental health be careful

I see Gretchen at this location, she is truly remarkable. Very understanding, patient, and caring. Nurse Lisa at this location is also very kind and reassuring. It can be hard to find someone who listens in healthcare and they provide so much hope!

I just wanted to say that I've personally experienced care beyond any expectations that I could of Imagined with my Nurse Karen and Dr. Armstrong! They genuinely do care and even get ahold of me to just see how I am. We work as a team to find the level of care necessary for my mental health and MAT services. I've had poor experiences in the past with how I'm treated and judged with other facilities. However, this has never been the case here. I trust that they are looking out for my well being and that I can be honest with them with any concerns. Don't hesitate to if you need their help! So Blessed!So grateful!

I see Gretchen Wenger. She listens to me. And tries to find the best course to take. When I need to call in and ask for the nurse. They answe my questions. Or they give me a call back if they need to as Gretchen Wenger about my care. Before I had Gretchen I had Kristen Armstrong, I loved her also. I hate when they leave. Like you find a doctor you like and then they leave you. And you have start all over. Everyone is so nice and very professional.

Watched my wife who is has been in pain have to get her appointment rescheduled 4 times and we are now more than 3 months past the original date. Reasons being the doctor being unable to make it to the appointment twice, and also incompetence on the part of the person making the schedule and giving incorrect dates and times. Please, for your health, choose a better clinic and don't waste your time with this place. Edit: it's not even a week since I've left this review and I've had a second problem with the clinic they don't even deserve the one star that I've left them we got medications for my son told them which one that we wanted it sent to and they gave us an address of where they said they sent the medications, we go to the address it's not there we check at the place by us it's not there we call and we asked and we are told that it's on the other side of town from which we live. After calling and trying to fix the issue and getting it sent to the one on our side of town they sent it all the way across town to the address that they gave us the first time.

I received care from EIHC when I first came to Cedar Rapids! I had many health issues that arose and received a variety of care from here! My experience has been nothing less than wonderful! I served on The board of directors for a year. I continue to receive my care here because I know they truly care for their patients!

I am a schizophrenic and I turned to DR. Seimenson whatever, told her I was having symptoms of seizures and she did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. even told her i was having panic attacks in PUBLIC. she looked at me as if I was lying or trying to be comical. If you have mental health issues avoid this place at all cost. My body is starting to give out on me (chest pain), losing bladder control. Now, I am even more suicidal. I feel like no one is listening to me, Which makes me more hopeless. 4 years of medical school, 4-5 years of residency and she is still absolutely clueless. The only thing she did was put me on an anti depressant even though I told her it had no affect whatsoever. Avoid this DOCTOR

This is Sodaba. I recommend dental hygienist Samantha she is sweet as a pie. And well experienced. She knows what is she doing. She doesn’t waste yours and her time. Very professional. Next time I only want to see by Samantha the hygienist. ❤️ my first appointment was best !!!!

AVOID Anthony Eschliman!!! He has absolutely no bedside manner. He was extremely arrogant condescending, and unprofessional. Half way through my pregnancy I switched offices because I felt unsafe with his care. There is no way I would trust him with the care of of baby either.

The care is OK, as long as you don't have any serious questions and can live on half your prescription amounts. These people can run interference and pass the buck like seasoned politicians.

If I could give this place a zero I would. DO NOT bring your children here. I called set up an appointment for my child to get a referral to mental health I asked to not not be sent to four oaks (it was a conflict of interest since I was an employee) the dr told me I had to bring my child there when I told them I’ll do some research and find my own mental health provider they called dhs claiming I refused medical care. The dhs worker said they were crazy!! Now let’s go to the dental portion. I went in because of some slight pain. The dr set me up to get a root canal done with another company. When I get there that dr said there was no way I needed one I actually did not need any work done besides a cleaning. Please don’t use these ppl they are out to take your money, your teeth, and your babies!!

Absolutely AWFUL!!!! Puts patients at risk, do not go!!!!

My pharmacy sent them numerous notifications that I needed a prior authorization for a Diabetic medication that they never responded to. Then when I called them (I was out and set to take a dose that night) they said I shouldnt have waited unti a Friday afternoon to call. I advised that the Pharmacy stated they sent numerous notifications regarding a Prior Auth and they said the conversation was going nowhere and disconnected the call.

This place is insanely disorganized and unprofessional. Dr. Kyle himself is great and took his time with my son and was great with him. But I’ve had to call the office 3 times to get a form faxed and it still hasn’t been done. I gave today as a timeline and have been told every time that they were sending it. It’s down to the last minute now and I’m waiting on a callback because when you call, you have to talk to someone who’s not even in the same office, so they have no answers. They note your account and you get a callback. I absolutely hate everything about their process and I’ll absolutely never use this office again. Here’s hoping they actually follow through on the form so my son can continue going to daycare.

Love my Dr and Dentist and Therapist.
They are so accommodating, informative, and friendly.
Added plus, is that you are basically seen right away.

Doctor James Livermore is a great man and an amazing peds Doctor. My son loves going to see him. He is a very sweet and kind person and takes his time explaining things to me and discussing my Concerns and inquiries. He has gone above and beyond for me and my family.

Only giving a star because you have to in order to give a review. But this place is an absolute joke of health care. They don’t listen to concerns, cancel annual physicals months in advance and their customer service is trash. Upon further investigation it also sounds like the workplace is a disaster. Someone needs to step in and get this place under control. If you are thinking about going here DONT.

My wife went to this health clinic, and they completely waved away all of her concerns. She mentioned multiple times how much discomfort her bowels were in due to her psychiatric medication. The last visit she even mentioned her suicidal ideations as a result of the side effects. Their response: Keep the same medication and get a bowel prep from her. This is not the type of healthcare that you would want for anyone. Seek a different doctor in the area. Since we left here, we have found much better doctors that will actually listen to your problems. Don't go somewhere where your problems go unanswered.
