Family planning isn’t only about preventing pregnancy.
Title X services can also support people who are thinking about becoming pregnant. Your healthcare provider can talk with you about your health before pregnancy, medications, prenatal vitamins, nutrition, health conditions and other steps that may help you prepare.

Taking care of your reproductive health includes taking care of your sexual health.
Depending on your individual needs, your healthcare provider can talk with you about STI testing, treatment, prevention and ways to reduce your risk.
Don’t be embarrassed to ask questions. Sexual health is a routine part of healthcare.
One of the goals of Title X is to make family planning services accessible regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
Depending on your income and eligibility, you may qualify for free or reduced-cost family planning services.
Having health insurance doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t qualify for assistance. Our team can help you understand the program and what your care may cost.
Concerned about cost? Ask us about Title X and other financial assistance options available through Eastern Iowa Health Center.
Title X family planning services are confidential.
Privacy can be especially important when talking about birth control, pregnancy, sexual health or STI testing. Our healthcare team can explain confidentiality and answer questions about how your personal health information is protected.
Adolescents can access confidential Title X family planning services.
There are some circumstances in which healthcare professionals are legally required to report safety concerns, such as suspected abuse. Our team can explain privacy, consent and confidentiality so you understand what to expect before receiving care.
You do not need to avoid care simply because you don’t have health insurance.
Title X is specifically designed to improve access to family planning services, including for people with low incomes or limited access to healthcare.
Call us and let our team help you understand your options rather than assuming you won’t qualify.
Maybe you don’t want to become pregnant right now. Maybe you’re ready to start a family. Maybe you’re not sure what you want next.
That’s okay.
Family planning care is about giving you accurate information, healthcare and support so you can make informed decisions about your own health and future.
