Menopause Care

Hot flashes? Trouble sleeping? If you are between 45 and 55 you may be in or approaching menopause. Menopause is the time in each woman’s life when she stops having her period. This usually happens naturally. Menopause happens because the body stops producing estrogen and progesterone.

You officially reach menopause when you have not had your period for one year. Although, the changes and symptoms of menopause can start years earlier. Changes you may experience include:

  • Your periods may get longer or shorter, heavier or lighter and have more or less time in between cycles.
  • Hot flashes and/or night sweats
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Mood swings
  • Trouble focusing
  • Less hair on head, more on face

Some menopause symptoms may require treatment. Ask us what you can do to help make this transition as comfortable as possible.
