Cedar Rapids, Iowa —Eastern Iowa Dental Center (EIDC), an affiliate of Eastern Iowa Health Center (EIHC), is now providing oral surgery services to its patients, many of whom do not have dental insurance and struggle with limited financial resources.
Dr. Jeff Link, an oral surgeon with over 20 years of experience, will be providing care to patients at EIDC. Dr. Link, who also has a dental practice serving impoverished individuals in Nicaragua, is excited to join the team at Eastern Iowa Dental Center. “Service is a core part of my personal mission. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve patients at Eastern Iowa Dental Center,” said Dr. Link.
Since opening its doors on March 6, 2017, EIDC has provided dental care to 2,676 patients, including 5,520 appointments. This has far surpassed the original projection of 1,700 patients served in the first 12 months of operation. The center recently completed an additional two patient rooms to serve the growing number of patients.
EIHC President & CEO Joe Lock states the addition of services provided by an oral surgeon continues the mission of EIHC to provide quality, comprehensive, patient-focused care for the community. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Link join us at EIDC,” Lock said. “He will be able to provide care to patients who otherwise may have had to wait five months or longer for treatment to resolve painful dental problems.”
Individuals wanting to schedule an appointment at the dental center may do so by calling 319-730-7300. Dr. Link will be providing oral surgery services to EIDC patients two days per month.
"The providers here are so nice! They take the time to listen and make sure that I understand everything." - Angela
