You can now access your health records from Eastern Iowa Health Center through third-party apps, in addition to our Patient Portal. You may access your health record through an app of your choosing, so long as the app is built to the specifications of the application programming interface (“API”) of our electronic health record system.

To get you started, we have compiled a list of verified apps with which our practice has already established a connection. These include: Qure4u and our Athena patient portal.

Through any of the above apps, you will be able to “log in with athenahealth” and consent to download your medical record to that app using the same email and password you use for the Patient Portal. These apps can let you retrieve the same health information you can find in the Patient Portal but are limited to your discrete chart data (i.e. no images).

If you have not yet registered to the Patient Portal, you will need to do so before you can access your record through third-party apps. To register an account, please visit our “Patient Portal.” When the new page opens, click the “Sign Up Today” link and follow the prompts to register your account.

If you find there is a third-party app not affiliated with the above list, please contact us through the “Contact Us” form on our website. We will work with the developer and our electronic health vendor to determine accessibility.
