This month gives us an opportunity to focus on the importance of recognizing preventable health problems & encouraging early detection & treatment of disease among men and boys.
Men’s Health Week is celebrated during the week leading up to and including Father’s Day and serves as a time to raise awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men.
The week also includes Wear Blue Friday on June 17: you can show your support and encourage your colleagues to wear something blue (dress, shirt, tie, etc.) to show concern for the health and well-being of men.
If you or the men in your life are not making positive health choices, now is the perfect time to take charge of your health. So, remind him that you and your other family members love him and need him to be alive and healthy for as long as possible.
"The providers here are so nice! They take the time to listen and make sure that I understand everything." - Angela
