Leanne Received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, from Murray State University in Kentucky. With a strong passion for helping others, she pursued a Master of Social Work from Western Kentucky University. Leanne is currently completing a Doctorate of Social Work program at the University of Kentucky.
Leanne has over 20 years of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral health issues, trauma, and several other mental health diagnosis’. Past work experience includes working on an inpatient behavioral health unit, individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting, sexual abuse and child advocacy center, MRT therapy within the prison system and overseeing an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization program. Leanne is also specially certified in EMDR therapy for trauma in adults. She has seen first-hand the positive impact that EMDR has had on her patients and continues to use it as a key tool in her practice.
