Professional Statement

Thinking about starting therapy can be a scary step if you haven’t ever been in therapeutic relationship before. If you are thinking about starting therapy I encourage you to give it a try. In trauma-focused therapy you decide where you want to go and on your time frame. Let’s work together so that you can participate in activities that you want to take part in and enjoy them.

“I believe you already have many skills to make positive changes in your life. We can work together in a client-focused setting to identify your strengths and help you build on your strengths to make changes to improve your quality of life.”

I treat people struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief (including loss of baby), DHS, and other mental health issues that cause distress. I am experienced with all roles in the adoption triangle and along with interpersonal violence and understand how complex it can be. I have specialized in Maternal Mental Health and Women’s Issues for my entire career.
I provide empathetic and trauma-informed therapy in an environment where you can feel comfortable and accepted. We will work together to increase your resilience and protective factors. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space for you to process your thoughts and feelings. We will work on enhancing your self-compassion and self-care.

Diane provides behavioral health services to women’s health patients full-time. She recently began seeing patients in the office with appropriate social distancing measures. Her clinical interests include providing trauma therapy to patients dealing with pregnancy loss, domestic violence, depression and other women’s health needs. Diane is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT), Integrative Psychotherapy along with Acute Trauma Incident Processing (A-TiP) and Critical Incident Desensitization (CiD).
